The 2017-2018 School Year is in Full Gear
Welcome to all Fremd students and families! This is the inaugural blog post for the upcoming school year. For those new to Fremd, this blog is my way of providing information and details about our school that you may not get from other forms of formal district communication, such as the website, newsletters, or official D211 emails. I encourage you to use the “Follow by Email” to receive a notification every time a new blog post is added. You can also use the “Contact Form” to send me your questions and comments.
For this week’s post, I wanted to provide a few of the week’s highlights:
- There are currently 2639 student enrolled at Fremd High School.
- Freshmen, sophomores and juniors attended a Expectations Assembly today in the Auditorium, facilitated by the assistant principals and dean. Senior attended an Expectations Assembly in the main gym with the principal, where we discussed school rules and the legacy they want to leave behind.
- Students in several science classes were able to learn about Monday’s solar eclipse by going to our brand new inflatable Star Lab. Science teacher Matt Winter made a pinhole solar eclipse projector with the Science Department’s new 3D printer.

Years at Fremd:
Life Before Fremd:
I am a Schaumburg High School graduate and went to Bradley University for my undergrad. After graduating from Bradley University, I became the head soccer coach at Schaumburg HS. I’ve been a social studies teacher and head soccer coach for the last 13 years. For the last two years I served as the dean of students.
I enjoy spending time with my family, enjoy working out, and love making a nice dinner.
Insider Tip for Parents:
As parents, our kids are watching us closely, so lets set the best example we can.
Ask the Principal
Are you curious about something at Fremd but have never asked? Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. If your question is pertinent to a wider audience, I will include it in the next blog post.
