The SAT Prep Edition

SAT Prep Update

Due to technical difficulties, our scheduled practice SAT date on Wednesday was cancelled and juniors were sent back to their classes. We will look to reschedule a practice SAT exam, but there are inherent challenges with any back-up plan we develop.

The original date was a half-day of school, which is the perfect amount of time needed to administer the exam. Our next half day is in February, which is less than two months from the April SAT administration date. The other, bigger reason we use a half day is to minimize disruptions to our regular learning environment. In determining potential make-up dates, we will need to evaluate the impact on instruction.

Please stay tuned for information about a possible make-up date.

In the meantime, I want to take this opportunity to remind you that Fremd offers SAT prep after school. Weekly. For FREE!

Name:  Brad Graba

Position:  AP Biology and Anatomy/Physiology Teacher; Voice of the Viking Football Team
Years at Fremd:  20

Life Before Fremd:  Since I also graduated from Fremd and was hired back to teach at Fremd right after graduating from Illinois Wesleyan University, I don’t really remember a life before Fremd!

Hobbies/Interests:  I am a die hard Cubs fan, love coaching and watching both of my boys sports activities here in Palatine, and I’m an avid fisherman.

Insider Tip for Parents:  As a teacher, I find it very helpful when I know if there is something outside of school that might be affecting a student’s performance in class. Please don’t be afraid to email us to let us know when something might be impacting your student that we wouldn’t otherwise be aware of.

Are you curious about something at Fremd but have never asked? Email me at ktenopir@d211.org. If your question is pertinent to a wider audience, I will include it in the next blog post.

  1. Nice! I love volleyball a lot and sometimes I hope it was a part of my LSAT Courses as well. It would have been so much fun studying for law with it. Anyways, I am glad I read this post, my sister is taking this exam this year and I must share this post with her.
